How to make a baby photo shoot of a newborn: What are the stages when processing photos
1.Fully processed frame from a baby photo shoot – processing time about 90 min
Eliminate imperfections and variations in skin colors and background.
Diligence to preserve the maximum natural and realistic representation of the baby in its best light.
2. Frame with basic light processing, reframe and color balance
3. Frame directly removed from the camera. This frame is unusable for most customers.
It is in colors designed for future processing, it is in a format that requires special software to see. This file can change color depending on what device you're looking at. It can become greenish when sent over Viber, for example. This is a professional format designed for future processing, not for the end customer.
Processing – an integral part of the photographer's style
The style of the photographer and his work is certainly deeply related to the processing of his footage. I believe that processing is of great importance for the final product that the customer receives.
Retoucher – Retoucher is a profession in itself. Photo processing can range from adjusting the light (1-2 min frame operation) to examining pixel by pixel for flaws (4-5 hours of frame operation) . This takes into account the purpose of the photo – an amateur photo for sharing with friends, a professional photo for a client, a professional photo for a costly advertisement, for example, a "Porsche".
Along the way, I have captured numerous footage that was unusable directly removed from the camera and eventually, through processing, became a favorite for me and the customers.
I certainly believe that the better the photographer captures the shot already in the camera, the lighter and more successful his work will be on the computer, and at the same time it is not always possible. The perfect case for me is that the frame is perfect in a camera and on a computer just to improve, not save.
One shot shot on the SD card is like the old camera bar. Only half the work is done, follows the other, inseparable half – the manifestation and bringing to a kind accessible to the end user. The second half, on the computer, in most cases is double and triple more like time and labor and unfortunately remains hidden to the customer.
Each client has the right and responsibility to familiarize himself with the work, style and conditions of the different photographers and to assess what fits him best and which will best suit his needs and resources.
Most professional photographers do not pass on the "negatives" of raw footage! Why?
As an artist, the photographer has to take care of the quality of work that reaches people and is not comfortable providing photos that are not finished and do not represent his work in its real quality and many other reasons.
