Baby photo shoot – how and when it takes place

A baby photo shoot is best to take place when the newborn baby is 6 to 10 days old. At this point, newborn babies still sleep much and deeply. They like to shrink as if they're still in the womb and seamlessly stand in huddled poses without waking up – as if they were still in mom's tummy. As they grow older, newborn babies may get colic and will start to move much more actively. This means they are more likely to wake up and not want to become bereathed after discovering the pleasure of stretching.

Capturing the newborn in the first two weeks of life while still sleepy is an important factor in the ease of capturing the baby photo shoot and the diversification of poses in his newborn portraits. It is important for me to remain the session as a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone. I have also photographed numerous successful sessions of babies 40 days, two and even 3 months.
